ACWA gains land for 10GW Egyptian project

ACWA Power has secured 3,000 square kilometres of land in Egypt for a 10GW wind project that could produce up to 50,000GWh of electricity annually.

The Saudi Arabian company has signed a memorandum of understanding for the land with Egypt's New & Renewable Energy Authority. The project is located to the west of the city of Sohag.
