Aker signs PPA for Norwegian ammonia plant

Aker Horizons has signed a 10-year deal with Statkraft for green electricity to power its up-to-600MW Navrik green ammonia plant in Norway.

The power purchase agreement for electricity for the Navrik plant is due to come into effect in 2028, and cover the plant's first 10 years of operation. The facility is set to produce 1,000-1,500 tonnes of green ammonia a day when fully operational.

The PPA is condition on Aker Horizons taking a final investment decision to build Navrik.
