Alcemi's 500MW UK storage project approved
Alcemi has secured planning permission for a 500MW energy storage facility in Coalburn, Scotland.
Developed in partnership with Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), through its Flagship Funds, the facility is expected to prevent around 1.6 million tonnes of CO2 emissions over 35 years.
The final investment decision is expected from CIP later this month, with construction set to commence once the decision is confirmed.
