BOEM consults on 2.6GW Oregon offshore areas
The US Bureau of Ocean Energy Management plans to lease two areas for offshore wind farms of up to 2.6GW off the coast of US state Oregon.
BOEM has started a 60-day public consultation on the areas, which total 219,568 acres of seabed sites off the southern coast of Oregon. It said the area's deep waters meant it had good potential to establish the US in the floating wind market.
