Constellation plans $350m for lifetime extension

US utility Constellation Energy has set aside $350m to invest in lifetime extension projects at operational onshore wind farms totalling 315MW.

The represents around 22.5% of Constellation's operational wind portfolio, which is made up of 27 projects with total headline capacity of 1.4GW. The strategy includes a plan to increase the output of its 28-turbine 70MW Criterion wind farm in Maryland, which was commissioned in December 2010.
