Danes withdraw permit for 300MW Aflandshage

Danish regulators have withdrawn consent for developer Hofor's 300MW Aflandshage offshore wind project due to its potential impact on bats.

Hofor won consent for the 26-turbine Aflandshage project from the Danish Energy Agency in November 2022, but the approval has now been withdrawn by the country's Energy Complaints Board. Hofor said the change was triggered by a change in the way regulators assess projects' impacts on bats.
