People in Dutch village Stad aan 't Haringvliet have voted to switch to use green hydrogen for heating homes and buildings within seven years.
The decision follows a vote in Goeree-Overflakkee municipality where a majority of people supported the switch. The conversion plan is due to be drawn up in winter 2024, with gas connections to be converted to green hydrogen from summer 2025. The work is due to complete by 2030.
