Egypt backs 10GW Masdar scheme

Middle Eastern developers Masdar, Infinity Power and Hassan Allam Utilities have secured a site for a 10GW onshore wind farm in Egypt.

The companies signed a land deal yesterday for the site for the $10bn project, which would be the largest wind farm in Africa and one of the largest globally too.
