Enersense & Fluence agree 200MWh Lithuanian storage deal
Enersense UAB, a Lithuanian subsidiary of Finland-headquartered Enersense International Plc, has signed an agreement with energy storage provider Fluence to provide maintenance services for four storage projects totalling 200 MWh in Lithuania.
The projects are located in the Lithuanian regions of Alytus, Vilnius, Utena and Šiauliai.
Fluence provided the energy storage system to Enersense UAB. Prior to the agreement, Enersense had provided maintenance and operation services for Fluence Energy's 20 MWh battery storage facility in Kerava, Finland.
Artūras Lapinskas, Enersense's managing director for Lithuania, said: "We are pleased that Fluence Energy chose us as its partner, and the signed agreement is an important market opening for us in the Lithuanian electricity storage market. An energy self-sufficient Europe needs such projects, and it is great to be a part of this."
