Engie acquires 50MW Scottish storage site

ENGIE has acquired a 50 MW battery storage site in Scotland from developers Hive Energy, EcoDev Group, Sirius Group and Ethical Power. 

Energisation of the project is planned for H2 2024.

The acquisition forms part of Engie’s strategy of targeting the addition of 10 GW of battery storage capacity to the grid by 2030, mainly in Europe and the US.
