Eolus to invest in 100MW Californian storage project

Renewable energy developer Eolus has confirmed it will make an investment in the 100MW Pome standalone battery storage project in San Diego County, California.

Construction of the project will begin in Q3 2023 with commercial operation planned for Q4 2024.

An agreement regarding supply of a battery energy storage system has been signed with a “major BESS supplier”, and a ten-year tolling agreement has been signed with an “undisclosed buyer”, a statement said. The project has been under development by Eolus North America since 2019.
