Equinor buys Denham's Brazilian subsidiary

Equinor is buying Denham Capital's Brazilian subsidiary Rio Energy and 1.2GW of its renewables assets, including the 200MW Serra da Babilônia 1 wind farm.

The Norwegian oil giant has agreed to buy the Rio Energy trade name, management team and most of its assets. Denham is set to retain 1.1GW of Rio Energy assets, including three onshore wind farms totalling around 500MW. The deal is subject to regulatory approval.
