Finland confirms 6GW tenders

Finnish group Metsähallitus is set to hold five offshore wind tender processes for projects totalling 6GW by the end of 2024.

The organisation confirmed it will hold tenders for two projects in September and October 2023; two projects next year; and will make a decision on the fifth project soon. The five areas are Siikajoki, Hailuoto, Pyhäjoki and Raahe (areas 1, 2 and 3 in the map below), Närpiö (area 6) and Kristiinankaupunki (area 7).
