France picks 250MW second floating site

France announces plans for a 250MW second floating offshore wind farm in the Gulf of Fos, set to be commissioned by 2031. Up to 20 turbines will be installed, and a developer will be chosen by spring 2024.

France's second floating offshore wind farm will have headline capacity of 250MW and be located in the Gulf of Fos, the French government has confirmed.

The government said the project in the Mediterranean Sea would be made up of up to 20 turbines, and it plans to pick a winning developer by spring 2024. The project is due to be commissioned by 2031.
