Greek firm nears decision on hydrogen pilot

Greek oil company Helleniq Energy is poised to take a final investment decision on a pilot green hydrogen project at its Elefsina oil refinery.

The company said in its first-quarter results that it was also evaluating a potential investment in a carbon capture and storage facility at Elefsina to produce 'blue' hydrogen, for which it is seeking backing under the EU Innovation Fund.
