Greencoat pays £717m for London Array stake

Greencoat UK Wind and other Schroders Greencoat funds have paid £717m for a 25% stake in the 630MW London Array offshore wind farm in UK waters from Ørsted.

Ørsted originally owned 50% of the project, which was commissioned in 2013, but sold 25% to Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec in 2014. The Danish utility has now sold the remaining 25% to recycle capital into its development assets.
