Iberdrola and EIB sign €1bn funding deal

Iberdrola has signed a €1bn financing deal with the European Investment Bank that will support the rollout of 2.2GW solar and wind projects in Europe.

The Spanish utility is set to use the funds to support the construction of 19 solar and three wind projects in Germany, Portugal and Spain, with total capacity of 2.2GW. The deal is part of the European Union's RePowerEU funding programme.
