Iberdrola to build €750m ammonia plant

Iberdrola is set to build a €750m factory in southern Europe to supply ammonia distributor Trammo with up to 100,000 tonnes of green ammonia a year from 2026.

The Spanish utility said the green ammonia plant would also require it to build 500MW of new renewable energy capacity. Iberdrola is developing green ammonia and methanol plants in the US, Australia and countries in Europe.
