JERA buys Pattern's Japanese subsidiaries

Japanese companies JERA and NTT Anode Energy Corporation have agreed to buy Pattern Energy's Japanese subsidiaries for an undisclosed sum.

The transaction for Green Power Investment Corporation and other businesses currently owned by Pattern in Japan is due to complete by the end of 2023. GPI has a portfolio of six operational renewables projects totalling 337MW and two projects totalling 192MW under construction.

GPI has this month commissioned the 113MW Sumita Tono onshore wind farm and is building the 112MW Ishikari Bay New Port offshore wind farm in Hokkaido.
