Johnson Matthey extends Hystar tie-up

Chemicals company Johnson Matthey has extended a strategic partnership with Norwegian firm Hystar to ramp up production of green hydrogen.

The partners will collaborate for three years on projects including HyPilot, which will be used to test Hystar's PEM electrolyser technology under realistic conditions. They will also work on HyPilot with Norwegian oil giant Equinor and food producer Yara.

This agreement follows an existing collaboration between Johnson Matthey and Hystar that started in 2021.
