Keppel joins 2.5GW Australian project

Singaporean infrastructure firm Keppel Corporation has joined the consortium developing a 2.5GW green hydrogen and ammonia project in Queensland, Australia.

Keppel has agreed to join the consortium developing the Central Queensland scheme, which is made up of Stanwell, Iwatani, Kansai Electric and Marubeni. The project is intended to produce green hydrogen and ammonia for use in Australia, Japan and Singapore.

The partners are due to take a final investment decision in 2024 on the project, which is due to be commissioned in 2028.
