Offshore wind boosts Crown Estate profits by 42%

The Crown Estate's profits have grown 42% year-on-year to £442.6m after it received fees from the signing of seabed leases for UK offshore wind farms.

The organisation, which manages the property of the UK's royal family including the seabed estate, has reported a £129.9m increase in its profits in its 2022/23 results. It attributed the rise to the signing of seabed lease agreements for six offshore wind farms through the Round 4 offshore wind leasing process.
