The UK government's proposal for a levy on energy bills to support the installation of hydrogen infrastructure risks a backlash against the sector, critics have warned.

OX2 plans 1.9GW offshore hydrogen hub
Swedish developer OX2 has unveiled plans for the 1.9GW Neptunus energy hub in the Baltic Sea off the coast of southern Sweden.
The development is set to incorporate offshore wind and hydrogen production, and OX2 said it could be operational in the early 2030s.
The company plans to submit an environmental impact assessment for the development this year or in 2024.
