Australian utility Pacific Energy partners with AngloGold Ashanti to integrate 24MW of wind power, 24MW of solar, and a 14MW battery system into the energy mix at Tropicana gold mine, Western Australia.

Australian utility Pacific Energy is set to add 24MW of wind power into the energy mix powering the Tropicana gold mine in Western Australia.

Pacific has agreed a deal with Tropicana's owner AngloGold Ashanti to integrate 24MW of wind, 24MW of solar and a 14MW battery system into the energy system at the mine. The mine is currently powered by a 54MW gas-fired power station.
