Plug Power plans Finnish hydrogen trio

Plug Power has entered the Finnish market by unveiling plans for three green hydrogen production facilities with headline capacity totalling 2.2GW.

The company said the three facilities would be able to produce more than 300,000 tonnes of green hydrogen annually when they are completed, which is due by 2030. Plug Power said it was looking to take final investment decisions on the three projects in 2025 and 2026.

The projects are set to be located in Kokkola, Kristinestad and Porvoo.
