Siemens Financial Services and Heineken launch fertiliser firm

Siemens Financial Services and Dutch brewer Heineken are among the founders of a company aimed at reducing carbon emissions in Europe's fertiliser industry.

The companies have launched FertigHy along with EIT InnoEnergy, InVivo, MAIRE and RIC Energy. FertigHy is set to build, own and operate low-carbon fertiliser plants in Spain and other European countries. The company plans to start construction on its first facility in 2025.
