Siemens forms taskforce to probe turbine arm

Siemens Energy is setting up an internal taskforce to investigate problems with Siemens Gamesa turbines that are set to cost over €1bn to fix.

The taskforce may use third-party experts to investigate the issues, and will operate alongside a special supervisory board committee of eight members that is also looking into the problems. The investigation is reportedly focused on the 5.X and 4.X onshore turbine models.
