Siemens Gamesa shareholders back merger

Minority shareholders in Siemens Gamesa have backed its full integration into Siemens Energy after approving a capital reduction of the 2.21% shares that Siemens Energy does not own.

The move was approved at an extraordinary general meeting today. Christian Bruch, CEO and president of Siemens Energy, and chairman of Siemens Gamesa, said this was an "important step in preparing for full integration".
