Sweden backs 1.6GW offshore pair

Sweden's Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson has announced that the Swedish government has approved the construction of two offshore wind projects totalling 1.6GW.

Kristersson confirmed yesterday that the Sweden has given Vattenfall permission to build its 1.2GW Kattegat Syd project, and backed OX2 the 400MW first phase of its 1.7GW Galatea-Galene development.
