Total wins 1GW PPA in Kazakhstan
TotalEnergies has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement to supply electricity from a 1GW wind farm in Kazakhstan to a state-backed energy company.
The French utility is set to supply electricity from the 1GW Mirny onshore wind farm to the Financial Settlement Center of Renewable Energy, which is owned by the Kazakhstan government. The Mirny project is in the Central Asian counry's Zhambyl region also has a 600MWh battery storage system.
