TotalEnergies to develop 25MW of storage in Belgium
TotalEnergies is to develop a 25MW / 75MWh battery storage project at its refinery in Antwerp, Belgium.
It will be the company’s largest battery installation in Europe - it has previously commissioning four battery parks in France with a total capacity of 130 MWh.
The capacity of the Antwerp project, which will be operational by the end of 2024, is equivalent to the daily consumption of almost 10,000 households.
The batteries for the project will be supplied by Saft, the battery subsidiary of TotalEnergies.
