US backs Ørsted's 1.1GW Ocean Wind 1 project

The US Bureau of Ocean Energy Management has approved the construction and operation plan for Ørsted's 1.1GW US offshore wind project Ocean Wind 1.

The 98-turbine project is located off the coast of Atlantic City, New Jersey, and is due to begin operations in late 2024 or early 2025.
