Vattenfall puts 1.4GW Norfolk Boreas on hold

Vattenfall is stopping development work on the 1.4GW Norfolk Boreas offshore wind project in UK waters because of rising costs.

The Swedish utility made the announcement yesterday in its first-half earnings report. It said it would "examine the best way forward" for its projects off the coast of Norfolk in the UK, which include and the 1.8GW Norfolk Vanguard scheme.
