Wind Watch
Wind Watch is published every Monday and Friday.
And, while you wait for the next Wind Watch, we have a question for you. Who are the the biggest hitters in wind? Yes, it is that time again. Top 100 Power People nominations are now open.
We are set to publish the fifth-annual Top 100 Power People report on 8 November, and you have until the end of August to nominate the men and women you think we should be looking to feature.
We're looking for people that:
• Carry the greatest influence within the industry as a whole
or their own particular part of it.
• Make the biggest deals and investments.
• Broaden horizons for wind by shaping policy, creating
opportunity and driving markets forward.
• Lead the biggest and most successful businesses and
organisations in wind.
If you know someone that fits the bill, then please email editorial@awordaboutwind.com and provide a brief overview of why we should include them. Just give us the hard facts in no more than 300 words and our team will consider them for the shortlist to be put in front of our panel of judges later this year.
We look forward to hearing your suggestions.
Four Republican congressmen have called for a halt to US offshore wind projects because of unsubstantiated claims blaming the industry for whale deaths. But this obvious misinformation can still be a threat for the growth of the industry.
